Do I need to register an account to mine?+
Registration is not required. Just configure your miner according to our instructions and start mining. Your first submitted share will automatically register you with our pool. Good Luck!
Why is my reported hashrate zero or different from my miner?+
Pool and miner hashrates are recalculated every ten minutes. It can take up to ten minutes for your hashrate to update. The hashrate displayed at the pool is a rough approximation based on submitted shares and can differ significantly from the hashrate displayed locally. Always consider the value displayed by your miner as the most accurate.
How does the PPLNS payment system work?+
PPLNS stands for "Pay Per Last N Shares". Instead of paying per round, the pool uses a constant window of your last N shares to calculate your reward. This system heavily favors loyal, consistent miners over pool-hoppers. The more consistently you mine, the better your rewards relative to your contribution.
When will I get paid?+
You won't see any balance until a block has been found by the pool AND the block reaches mature status (this can take a few hours). Once mature, your contribution is calculated and credited to your pending balance. If your pending balance reaches the minimum payout threshold (0.1 ZEC), the pool automatically transfers your entire balance to your wallet. Payouts are processed every 10 minutes fully automatically.
What is VarDiff (variable difficulty)?+
VarDiff automatically adjusts the share difficulty for each miner to target one share every 30 seconds, regardless of their hashrate. This keeps communication overhead low for small miners and ensures large miners submit enough shares. The pool targets Diff=21 for most connections, consistent with major ZEC pools.
Which mining software is recommended?+
We support any Equihash 200/9 compatible miner. Popular choices include GMiner, lolMiner, and MiniZ. Connect to our stratum endpoint at zec.cryptobank.day:3333 using your ZEC wallet address as the username. Set password to "x".
